Born in Milan into a family of jewelry designers, I started my formal training by studying architecture and industrial design at the Liceo Artistico Bruno Munari in Crema, Italy. After a brief period living in Japan, I relocated to New York City and obtained an MFA in Communications Design from the Pratt Institute.

In NYC, I worked at Mucca Design, Penguin Random House, and was the senior designer at Louise Fili Ltd. After nearly a decade, relocated to Paris to head-up WeWork’s France and Southern Europe Art & Graphics team.

A while back, I started a passion project called Fauxsaics—a series of travel-inspired, typographic mosaic illustrations—which has since been featured on over 50 design sites and blogs including the ADC/The One Club blog. DesignTAXI, Abduzeedo, and Designboom.

Over the years, I have taught workshops and given keynotes on lettering at conferences around the United States and internationally. I’ve guest-lectured at several NYC design colleges including the School of Visual Arts, Parsons, and Pratt and taught a summer session at Type@Paris.

I'm passionate about art, design, pattern, decorative arts, old crafts, and modern interiors (with the occasional DIY thrown in there). I'm also the proud co-parent of a rescued racing greyhound named Cooper (yes, he's on Instagram).
