nice to meet you! I am a new york based designer with a passion for ornament and bespoke typography.
Born in Milan into a family of jewelry designers, I developed a love for calligraphy and art at an early age and started my formal training by studying architecture and industrial design at the Liceo Artistico Bruno Munari in Crema, Italy. After a brief period living in Japan, I relocated to New York City and obtained an MFA in Communications Design from the Pratt Institute.
I'm currently the senior designer at Louise Fili Ltd, where I joyfully create quintessentially Italian, historically-inspired design and lettering every day.
I recently started a passion project called Fauxsaics: a series of travel-inspired, typographic mosaic illustrations. I'm thrilled that the project has been featured on a variety of design sites and blogs including the ADC/The One Club blog. DesignTAXI, Abduzeedo, and Designboom. See the entire series here or follow along on Instagram.
Outside of graphic design, I'm passionate about decorative arts, old crafts, and modern interiors (with the occasional DIY thrown in there). I'm also the proud co-parent of a rescued racing greyhound named Cooper (yes, he's on Instagram).
If you're interested in having me come and give a talk or workshop at your conference, school, or studio, I'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch by using the form below!
