This memoir chronicles the life of one of today’s most respected and influential fiction authors, Penelope Lively, from her youth in Egypt to her native Great Britain. The design was inspired by one of the central artifacts the author employs to tell her story: a shard of ancient Egyptian pottery with two leaping fish.
