The Romanovs

Printed in two metallic golds (ink and foil) on a rich cerulean background, the design is meant to conjure the opulence of this famous Russian dynasty. The typography references cyrillic letterforms and the double headed eagle was drawn to match the style and weight of the surrounding flourishes.
The white case was blind-debossed with a simplified version of the front cover art art; while its spine was stamped in blue foil—shown below next to the spine on the jacket.
